Autumn Dressing

Since the season is changing over, I thought I'd re-dress the blog to match the colors!

  1. Wait, are those horses carbon neutral? What's the carbon footprint of the pumpkins? :D

  2. Hmm well lets see. Horses leave poop everywhere they go. The poop emits an odor which is really a gas which usually evaporates into the atmosphere. Up in the sky the gas mingles with the clouds and then it rains horse shit on those people who believe horses are bad for the environment.

And the pumpkins? Of course they are bad. Pumpkins turn into pies. Which have to be baked....

  3. You know, I'd love a pack of fat quarters or half yards in those colors - they'd make a lovely quilt! ;-)

  4. Not sure it this is a computer generated image?

  5. Well, it's very fabric-y looking. And, to be perfect, each color would have patterns, some large, some small and subtle, which would give a lot of visual interest to the quilt and help the colors "pop."

You don't see a lot of solids in quilting fabrics (at least not where I've been shopping), but many Amish quilts do use them, and their quilts are STUNNING!

  6. That image in your header is from a Charles Wysocki print. Do you still have those hanging in your house? Or did you sell them?
